Ilona (Lon) is our new physio addition to the Cocoon Bondi Family. Lon graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2013. With over 10 years of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and Pilates, she has worked in several private practices across Melbourne and Sydney.

Lon’s personal journey has led her, to find her special niche in providing care for women and mother’s of all ages, as she can truly relates to their struggles and challenges, being a mum herself. Her extensive knowledge in unique conditions such as mastitis, pelvic-pain related to pregnancy, plus on-going education with industry specialists, enables her to provide gold-standard, evidence-based results in her treatment plans.

Lon’s passion lies in helping her patients achieve personalised outcomes through her bespoke and holistic whole-body approach and method. Utilising individualised hands-on therapy, tailored exercises, and altering lifestyle and emotional factors related to your injuries, to improve your quality of life.

She enjoys making a real difference in her patients’ lives by alleviating pain and improving, your physical, mental and emotional well-being. Her compassionate management allows her to build long-lasting and loyal relationships with her clients based on trust.

Outside of work, Ilona is a dedicated mother of two beautiful boys. She stays active through Mum and Bubs Pilates classes, light weights training, and long walks along the Bondi coastline. Her personal interests include discovering new places and cuisines around the world, beach swims, and watching classic movies.

Areas of Interest:
Ilona is highly trained in DMA Clinical Pilates (both equipment and mat), contemporary Pilates and Polestar Mat Pilates. She has achieved significant success in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions through a personalized, patient-focused approach. DMA Pilates, in particular, uses a movement preference method that incorporates a flexion or extension bias. This approach allows Ilona to tailor her treatment to each patient’s specific needs, helping them manage pain and improve their movement patterns in daily life. As a result, her patients reach their personal goals and enhance their quality of life.
