At Cocoon we also offer Doula services. A doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to individuals and couples during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. The term “doula” comes from the Greek word meaning “a woman who serves.”

Having a Doula means that you have someone by your side along your journey into Motherhood. They provide a safe space for expressing fears, concerns, and hopes and help navigate the emotional ups and downs that can arise during pregnancy, labour, and postpartum. Doula’s can provide physical support during labour and birth, provide advocacy for their clients needs and preferences, and can also offer support in the immediate postpartum period, assisting with breastfeeding, newborn care, emotional adjustment, and self-care.
